Reputation

Owners and staff genuinely care about people and animals. The welfare and success of clients is our focus. Our reputation speaks for itself.

Experience

With over 30 years of professional experience with horses, training and showing you will benefit from horse owners that have “done their homework.” Both of the owners have successful professions in the health care and mental health care industry ensuring only exceptional care for your horse. Utilizing a philosophy that centers around a team approach working with the horse owner, veterinarians, chiropractors, and trainers provides a solid foundation for results that are guaranteed. The gated facility  provides a safe environment that is conveniently located close in to Central Dallas and the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex.

What makes us unique?

Twin Oaks is a private gated facility with a quiet relaxing atmosphere for horses and their owners. Susan Sturdivan-Brownlee is known for her unique ability to connect and communicate with horses.

The facility is nestled on over ten acres only minutes from downtown Dallas and affords horse owners easy access to the farm from any point in the DFW Metropolis. In addition to affording your horse a restorative break or vacation from competitive demands feed supplementation with Dynamite Specialty Products, Vellus Grooming Products, and Essential Oil Massage Therapy Techniques are employed. Read more about how these equine horse products and rehabilitation techniques are used as well as case studies on our equine therapy rehabilitation page.

What do we do?

Rehabilitation is the major focus at Twin Oaks Equine Center for horses with motion disorders or behavioral issues. A natural horsemanship based philosophy is a key factor for achieving successful results as the staff focuses upon understanding and addressing the individual needs of each horse. Central to this philosophy is the utilization of natural horsemanship techniques, therapeutic touch and dressage ideology as well as others that help to restore the horse’s self confidence, integrity, and energy especially after a rigorous competition regimen.

While the current program at Twin Oaks is with horses and Equine Sports Massage and movement restoration with acuscope and myoscope, Brownlee Bloodstock has been actively involved since 1979 in the areas of training, showing, and breeding horses.

Twin Oaks is excited to offer for your consideration the multiple champion, Huckleberry Bey son, Rampage V. Rampage V was purchased from Sheila Varian in California. He has been successfully raced at Los Alamitos, worked cattle, and shown by a child in English Pleasure capturing Region IX Reserve Champion in a very competitive class. Region IX is one of the most prestigious and competitive regions in the United States. Rampage is a wonderful horse to consider breeding to Thoroughbreds, Quarterhorses, Warmbloods, and Drafthorses to design a competitive Sporthorse. Utilizing an Arabian sire gives the resulting foal the benefits of endurance, longevity of life, intelligence, and a wonderful affectionate spirit so characteristic of the Arabian horse.

Meet the People

“It is truly exciting to see the look on an exhibitor’s face when they do well in the showring…and I had a part in assisting that victory! I love being part of the team that enables a person to realize their dreams and potential,” says Susan. If you want a competitive edge or a better understanding of your horse and movement consider Twin Oaks for your horse’s continued well being and your success!
